Dark walnut is one of the best woods available as a veneer, and ours is imported directly from one of the best sources in the world - Italy. The wood is chocolate brown in color with streaks of an even darker brown to black. In this design, large rectangles of veneer show a horizontally oriented grain, interspersed with very narrow horizontal slats of wood for contrast.
