Four large rectangles of glass stacked one atop another are the distinguishing feature of this interior glass door, framed in an exotic hardwood veneer called Sapele Mahogany, a wood with a reddish brown color and dominant grain.
Sapele Mahogany has long been used in Europe for use in furniture, flooring and musical instruments. In the United States, it's been used for the trim in some classic luxury cars. Sapele Mahogany is also extraordinarily hard - harder than oak in fact - which makes it the perfect wood for a door veneer.
Use this interior door to frame a view of the ocean or lakefront, or use it to separate a living area from an outside patio area. The stacked windows give this door a classic style, yet the wood veneer seems entirely modern.
