Ebony Macassar Hyde Interior Door
A juxtaposition of horizontal and vertical grains and bold dark wood give this interior door a stately, but modern, look. The patterning is reminiscent to some of the tasteful paneled doors you find in luxurious estates.
The wood used is Ebony Macassar, a type of hardwood found in remote Indonesia and India. It is known for its striking colorway - a mix of reddish brown, dark brown and black - and dramatic grain. It is also known to be a dense, heavy wood and one that is resistant to moisture, similar to teak.
In this door design, the grain runs horizontally within two large panels, and then is framed in with vertically grained panels at the center and outer edges. This wood door could be used in a variety of settings, including living and dining areas and entertainment rooms.
