Ebony Macassar takes a long time to grow, which makes the wood exceptionally strong and durable.

In this modern door design, the veneer is placed on the vertical grain across much of the plane of the door, except in the mid section, where the grain runs horizontally. This slight difference in grain adds just a little character as well as a horizontal line that evokes a flow in the room design.
