Ebony Macassar Kensington Interior Door
With an interior door this rich in color and design, the passage from one room to another surpasses the boundaries of the usual architectural element. It becomes an unexpected focal point.
The wood veneer used here is Ebony Macassar, a hardwood species found only in remote parts of Southeast Asia and India. It is prized for its natural radiance and coloring, a rich red-brown with dramatic grain lines of darker brown and black. It is also known to be very durable and resistant to moisture and mildew.
In this design, panels of vertical and horizontal grain are alternated from top to bottom, and framed in with vertically grained wood veneer. The effect is upscale, polished and reminiscent of traditional wood paneled doors, only with a very modern tone. This door would be a lovely addition to a living area, entertainment room or bedroom.
