Found in the tropics of Indonesia, Ebony Macassar is an extremely hard wood because it grows very slowly and takes long to mature. It is prized for its brown red color and streaks of black and darker brown. It makes for a door that is bold, dramatic and rich in character.
This particular modern door features a design where the wood veneer is laid with a vertical grain across most of the door's plane, except for a narrow handle wide strip located off center, where the grain runs horizontally. Given the design, this door would work well on its own, or as part of a pair.
